Good afternoon, dear BeYOUties! I hope we are not all at home snuffling in bed this winter week. Today I wanted to share with you my January life hacks to ensure, even though you may be feeling low, that we can be ready to prevent and feel our best whatever. I have included a fair mix of things, not all makeup, to give you ideas of what you could put in your handbag, out on your desk at school or work or to remember at home. Just a disclaimer:none of these products have been sponsored, these are all my own picks to show you guys and to explain why they are suitable.Here's an overview to get you thinking:

Now a list from left to right:
1)  Essie summit of sparkle nail polish to remind you of those christmas memories you made last year and to make your nails look like they had ages spent on them. To put over the top of a matte colour or to wear as plain.Available in most drugstores or high end department stores.
2) cream snood. So is it just me or sometimes I look really naff when trying to work out how to wear a scarf stylishly? Does that happen to you? My solution, buy a patterned or plain snood and put in on. It looks good first try, I wear this to school as my mornings are very nippy indeed.
3)Nars Turkish delight lipgloss. At this time of the year, a subtle sheer gloss looks pretty and wintery and even though you may not be allowed to wear makeup at school/work, this will look perfect. I know some people prefer wearing dark berry or cranberry tones at the moment, I actually prefer wearing those in Autumn, so instead opt for a more nude look on my lips and do a dramatic take on my eyes.
4)furry mittens/gloves. These match perfectly with the snood and are not bright so could easily be worn and not noticed as much. I'm not a fan of wearing bright gloves, I prefer natural colours as in my opinion they suit me better.
5)Yankee candle in "Snow in love". A perfect colour and scent to look good anywhere in the house. I find that Yankee candles smell good despite not even lighting them, so when you get back from a long day and open your front door the sweet smell will be guaranteed to be pleasing! 
6)The Body Shop vitamin E face mask. After a hard day, you may feel the longing to relax and this will work wonders. To be applied before a bath or the duration before bed, your skin will be revitalised and silky smooth for the next day in the cold.
7)Hot chocolate. My all time winter favourite drink. It's a classic and no-brainer to make yourself on an afternoon or evening. To be accompanied with a tumblr style mug eg a mason jar, pink and white marshmallows,white cholcolate or any other toppings you desire. *Just off to make my own.*
8)Patterned hot water bottle. You can find these anywhere, with endless designs, colours and patterns. To put in your bed at night or to snuggle with on the sofa, it's your best friend.
9)Lush bath bomb. This particular one is filled with lavender for an ideal winters night, but you could choose a bright one instead if you prefer. Bath time will be much more amusing this way and will help your tired skin to be glowy. 
10) Clinique eyeshadow palette. Filled with the perfect tones for winter, you can mix and match the brighter silvery hues with the dark maroons for the crease. 
11)Nars blush. I apologise I don't know the exact names of this shade as they all look so similar. This gives you more colour to the face in an instance. For the apples of your cheeks to give a sweet flush.
12)bath and body works antibacterial pocket backs. We need a bath and body works in England. I recieved these for Christmas as my mum went over to America for work and I really wanted her to bring me some of bbw back. These work wonders and should be kept handy for times when you wish you had it.
13)Tarte waterproof mascara. I know im not the only one that experiences watery eyes when unleashed in the cold. My eyes will run making my mascara practically end up on my chin, so a waterproof mascrara is perfect for people like me.
14)The body shop coconut hand and nail cream. My skin on my hands tends to become rough and flakey during the winter months. But on a morning and evening if I apply hand cream similar to this one, they improve and are silky smooth if you keep it up.
15)Vicks cold preventer. At the first symptoms your reccomended to take this, whether you buy the liquid medicine or to stick up your nose this has been rumoured to prevent nasty colds from expanding. How clever.
16)beanie or hat. To keep those brain cells working when it's unbearably cold! Haha, not quite. Hats can also keep your ears warm if they suffer too.
17)silver hunter wellies. I know some of you are experiencing full on snow at the moment and if you are, stylish wellies are the way to go. If you aren't, store some in the shed for when they are really needed.
18)Baby lips Dr rescue. I have just purchased the entire collection of Dr. Rescue as they have just been released here in England. OMG they are the best things that have ever happened to me. My lips get especially bad and are really sore, flaky and sometimes bleeding in the cold. When I apply this and recieve the tingling sensation I know this is working and when fully absorbed, there is honestly such a huge difference!
19) warm cosy blanket. To snuggle with on the sofa or to drape at the end of your bed for some extra installation!! 

So I hope you have gained some inspiration as to what to put in your handbag etc this month. This time is always tricky as there are germs everywhere and you want to feel your best. Good luck with keeping the bugs away this month and I hope this helps you !
